Progress Programmer, ERP Analyst

Hiring firm is large, multi-billion dollar publicly-traded corporation. Site location is Mentor, OH.

Candidate must be experienced in the analysis of complex business requirements and be able to translate them into efficient design supporting company/industry standards.
- Design, develop, and implement new components and/or modifications to existing applications.
- Create and execute test plans.
- Troubleshoot and support existing and new ERP / non-ERP applications.
- Provide technical insight for functional performance of existing ERP applications and proactively identify need for improvement.
- Lead end-user/customer prototyping and requirements gathering.
- Provide technical insight into industry standard strategies for providing ERP solutions.
- Document software/system design/functionality.

Skills Requirements:
- Experienced Progress developer (V9 or above). Experience should include CHUI based development.
- Experience in ERP manufacturing systems (MFG-PRO, Syteline, Axiom, SX.e, etc.)
- Proven project leadership skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Excellent troubleshooting skills

Not Absolutely Necessary:
- Experienced with XML design and development including XML transformations and use of XML in Progress 9.x and above.
- Experience with Middleware components (e.g. MQSeries, SonicMQ)
- In-depth experience with QAD MFG-PRO versions 8.5 and greater.
- Experience with integrating Bolt-On Applications to QAD MFGPRO
- APICS certification or equivalent
- Experience with Progress App Server and Web Based development.
- Experience with Sonic ESB or other ESB product
- Experience with loosely-coupled SOA strategies
- Four year degree in a related field (IT or business)

Salary is negotiable, $75K to $85K range.
