ERP Applications Programmer Analyst

Activities & Responsibilities

• Assists with development and maintenance of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
• Customizes and configures programs for user ERP applications.
• Tests ERP programs to ensure the system is meeting corporate needs.
• Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Performs a variety of tasks.
• Resolve various help desk calls.
• Applies system solutions to business problems through the design and programming of automated systems.
  • Configures, designs, develops, and maintains ERP program codes and applications to support business processes and functions. Works on elements of large, complex installations.
  • Performs all aspects of programming assignments, and assists with systems design.
  • Fully knowledgeable in Progress ERP programming language.
  • Applies knowledge and experience with technology and application development methodologies to perform basic systems analysis techniques, testing, debugging, and file design.
  • Understands and adheres to documentation standards, file design and coding standards. Works closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions.
  • These solutions must be aligned with business and IT strategies and comply with the organization's architectural standards. Make recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code.
• Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programs including encoding, testing, debugging and documenting programs.
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Performs a variety of tasks. Provide consultation on complex programs.
• Designs, plans, and coordinates work assignments.
  • Provides technical support to other team members.
  • Handles complex application features and technical designs.
  • Designs and implements the components required for complex application features.

• Web Speed Programming
• Unix Operating System
• Strong cross-functional communication skills
• Microsoft Windows & SQL familiarity

Site is Vernon Hills, IL. Initial contract is for 4 months, can be extended. Rate is $50-70+/hour DOE. Must have QAD MFG/PRO experience.
